In the week that saw the clocks go back (well in the UK at least), the sugar tax has been raging & I’ve been read all about this, on social media:
Tales from the Inbox
OFM Best restaurant runner up, Restaurant Mark Greenaway sent me their latest market menu. And I have to say, it looks great value (Two courses £20, Three Courses £24.50)

Sauce Communications sent out their monthly round up, with this gem catching my eye:
The latest restaurant from the team behind two-Michelin starred Le Taillevent in Paris, officially opens in London on October 21st
The unique brasserie will offer a hundred and ten wines by the glass carefully paired with seasonal, French dishes
Booking lines are now open, call 020 3141 6016 or email [email protected]

And finally, big congratulations to Matt & Cat on the Isle of Wight. They’re celebrating ten years of reviewing restaurants on the island, & I have to say, are my go to people in that part of the world.
To mark this monumental achievement, they’re having a birthday party bash:
- Friday 20th November 7pm til late
- Blacksheep Bar private lounge, Union Street, Ryde
- £25 includes welcome cocktail and extended ‘Shut up and feed me’ menu
- Full veggie option
- Guests will be offered complimentary membership of the Salon de Grills private club.

Proof that Anonymous have a sense of humour
You’ve probably heard of the Hacktivist group Anonymous via the news. A perfect demonstration of people power & what happens when those with a means want to scratch more than the surface. You might also have read their rather eerie mantra:
“We are Anonymous. We are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us.”
Expect Anonymous? This isn’t the reply you’d normally expect from them:
