Chef rumours & gossip: New appointments

Haven’t done one of these posts for awhile, so thought it was worth a shout for some new appointments etc.

The Wild Rabbit

After being awarded 3AA rosettes in the mid winter release, it seems that Head chef Adam Caisley has departed Lady Bamford’s gastro pub in Kingham. Caisley was originally the Bamford’s private chef & was moved to the Wild Rabbit, when they decided to buy their ‘local’, as first mentioned on this site in 2012. As private chef, Caisley was replaced by the highly talented Tony Parkin, formerly of; Adam Simmonds at Danesfield House, The Vineyard, Northcote, Gordon Ramsay Hospital Road & a brief flirtation with The Curlew in Bodiam, Sussex. Now it seems that Parkin has yet again followed in Caisley’s footsteps & is now running the Wild Rabbit, as yet again, it appears that the Bamfords are having another roll of the dice to achieve a Michelin star.

A cryptic Instagram of an allium..

This cryptic Instagram from a chef gave away his new employers.

It appears that former 10 in 8 Angelique chef Darren Brown, is now the new Development chef for Cotswold based hospitality group Lucky Onion.

Lucky Onion was set up in 2006 with the acquisition of  The Tavern in Cheltenham by husband & wife team, Sam & Georgie Pearman. Now the group stands at five properties in and around the Cotswolds, but lost their group chef, Anthony Ely, to Brakspear in early autumn last year.

As ever, I like to take this opportunity to wish everybody all the best for their new adventures.
