A preview for February
Whilst there have been a couple of food festivals already this year, February is were it really starts.
Karen Northcote from The Ship Inn in Rye emailed the blog to remind me about Rye Bay Sallop Week. This is the sort of food related fun festival which I want to go to, beauty pageant & wheelbarrow races, all celebrating the wonderful scallop.
As you may have gathered by now 2013 has brought a new format to the food festivals calender & listings, there is also a dedicated page giving start and notable dates as well: Food festival calender page
Notable food dates for February include: National Yorkshire pudding day; Bramley apple week; National Chip week & Pancake day.
