Latest rumour & gossip: Simon Numphud set to leave the AA

Simon Numphud, Head of AA Hotel Services, and the one who generally oversees the rosettes & stars for the AA guides is set to leave the motoring organisation, chefhermes.com can reveal.

Numphud, who is one of the longest serving members of the AA Hospitality team and has seen the introduction of the controversial ‘consultancy’ business is believed to be joining his new employer in January 2016.

He’ll join one of the largest food procurement companies in the UK, PSL, as Director of Sales. A company which has a mixed reputation amongst chefs, with many having the experience that PSL curtail which supplier they deal with & how they run they’re kitchens.

Whilst I’ve probably been a thorn in Simon Numphud’s side for a number of years, over the controversial ‘consultancy’ business, I’d still like to wish him all the best for the future.

As the AA like to keep these sort of positions ‘in house’, the most likely contender to the throne is, Giovanna Grossi
